Kevin is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW), with a bachelors and master’s degree in social work. He identifies as a secular humanist, a cis male, a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and is a retired U.S. Army veteran. Beyond clinical social work, Kevin is a social justice and human rights advocate, fighting to reduce and eliminate racial, ethnic, gender, sexual orientation and class-based disparities within the field of mental health, and various other systems within our society.

Kevin has over a decade of experience working in the mental health and social service fields, having served numerous populations including BIPOC individuals, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, refugees, service-members, veterans and adults and children suffering from severe and persistent mental illness. He recognizes that you are the expert on your life and is genuinely interested in your journey, your struggles, and learning how you see and interact with the world around you.
Most of his experience has been working with people to navigate through life while managing their mental health and substance use. Kevin is passionate about working with and an ally for the LGBTQIA+ population, people in non-traditional relationship structures (e.g., ethical non-monogamy and polyamory), the kink community, the BIPOC communities, anyone affected by issues of social justice, and people dealing with intersecting identities.
Kevin believes that we are fellow travelers in life, working towards enhancing and improving your quality of life, drawing from several therapy modalities and working with you to decide on the best path to take on your journey. He demonstrates compassion and non-judgment using a culturally humble, person-centered, wholistic (whole health), trauma informed approach, working with you where you are at. He believes in developing a genuine connection with individuals, couples and families, on their journey of healing, exploration, discovery, and understanding.
The therapy modalities that Kevin draws from include, a strengths-based person-centered philosophy of therapy; Motivational Interviewing; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy; Attachment Based Therapy; Internal Family Systems; Whole Health; Mindfulness skills and therapy; and others. Kevin is currently working on training for these and other service modalities.
Reading, learning, writing, creating digital art and photography, traveling, the outdoors, social justice advocacy work, and spending time with family and friends.
